Our Story
Minimal Desk Setups began as an Instagram page and blog which provided a lot of people with desk setup inspiration since 2021. We are a group of friends from university that banded together to form this company.
We, the co-founders - Damien Cabral, Kenny Yeoh and Samuel Tu, shared a similar interest in creating the cleanest desk setup and we wanted to help people bring to life their dream setups with a minimal aesthetic but maximum productivity.
We started MDS at the height of the pandemic and have gone on to be a leading authority in the desk setup space with over 200k followers across multiple platforms.
We’re based out of Melbourne, Australia where we design all our products and produce all of our content.
Samuel Tu drives the creative vision at MDS, writing early guides, designing productivity tools, and interacting with the community on Instagram. He’s passionate about minimalist, functional setups that enhance productivity. He’s got a background in engineering and law. He’s also a passionate basketball player.
Kenny Yeoh brings the engineering expertise, designing and developing products that reflect his love for tinkering and classic BMWs. His goal is to create products that inspire creativity and satisfaction. He’s also deep into jujitsu!
Damien Cabral brings the marketing expertise, and in the beginning used to pack and ship all orders from his tiny Shanghai apartment.. With a background in finance and e-commerce at a hypergrowth scaleup, Damien’s strategic approach has helped MDS grow while staying true to its roots. He also speaks fluent Chinese.

When does the Kickstarter launch?
We're looking to launch the Kickstarter in November 2024. The kickstarter estimated to run for 30 days.
What is the estimated price?
Final costing is still to be determined, however we currently estimate an RRP of $79 USD with a Super Early Bird Price for all VIPs of $39 USD
What do VIPs get?
The VIPs will get gauranteed early bird pricing with their 1$ pledge refunded back to them. In addition, they will get a carry case with their Flow Timer. Also, you will get access to the VIP discord channel and talk with the co-founders of MDS and share your opinions or thoughts for the product.
When do you expect fulfilment to commence?
When the Kickstarter has been successfully funded, we aim to start fulfilment in APRIL 2025.
